He was a native of Gaston County, the son of the late Rev. Ted Gibson and Zola White Gibson.
Left to cherish his memories are his loving wife Letha “Mid” Gibson; daughter Tonya Gibson Foley; grandchildren Jonathan and Kelly Lunsford; one brother and one sister.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his infant daughter Crystal Dawn Gibson; two brothers and two sisters.
