Ron enlisted in the Army, and served as a medical Corpsman. He was a Retired Monterey County Sheriff's Deputy, and retired after 35 years of service.
He was the past President of the Monterey County Peace Officers Association. He was one of the original Hostage Negotiators for the Monterey County Sheriff's Dept.
He was preceded in death by his mother, LeVonah Qualls, and father, Guy Qualls.
Ron is survived by his uncle Earl Qualls of Georgia, cousins Ina Lee Lankford of Holdenville, Phil and Jane Marshall of Ardmore, and George and Ethel Qualls of Fort Worth, Texas, and longtime companion, Constance G. Bacon of Salinas.
Memorial Service ~ Mon. May 23, 2016 at Struve and Laporte Chapel, Salinas, CA. 93901. Afterwards, Ronald will return home to Holdenville, Oklahoma.
Graveside service ~ Holdenville Cemetery in Holdenville. Rev. Jim Lawrence will officiate the service. Services are under the direction of Hudson-Phillips Funeral Home.
