East Mountain - Graveside services for Earl H. Adkins, 91, of East Mountain will be 2 p.m. Wednesday in East Mountain Cemetery with the Rev. Aubrey Pate officiating under the direction of Croley Funeral Home of Gilmer.
Mr Adkins died Monday in a Longview Hospital. Mr Adkins was born Nov. 24, 1899, in Upshur County and was a lifelong resident of the county. He married Jessie Smith on Dec. 5, 1937. He was a retired farmer and member of East Mountain Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Jessie; son, Donald of East Mountain; and daughter and son-in-law, Earlene and Howard Wetherbee of East Mountain. - Longview News Journal.
