Funeral services for Tom E. Antie, 53, of 904 S. 7th St., Monroe, a captain of the Monroe Fire Department and a former policeman for the city, were at 2 p.m. today in the chapel of Mulhearn's Funeral Home of Monroe.

Burial followed in Memorial Park Cemetery.

He died Tuesday after a brief illness.

Capt. Antie was a veteran of World War II.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Minnie Antie of Monroe; two sons, Tommy Gene Antie of West Monroe and Michael Antie of Monroe; two daughters, Mrs. Norma Lee Rodriguez of Sterlington and Mrs. Donna Kaye Semmes of West Monroe; a sister, Mrs. Siddy Pearl Taylor of Port Arthur, Tex.; mother, Mrs. Maude Brown Renfrow of Haile; and five grandchildren.
