Orrington- James A. Carle, 68, passed away May 12, 2016, at a Bangor hospital. He was born June 19, 1947, in Dover-Foxcroft, the son of Ora and Zoolah (Langston) Carle.

James most enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, loving his animals, and working on cars. His family will remember him as a jack of all trades and a master of none. After serving in the U.S. Army, he worked as a heavy duty equipment mechanic. James was a member of the Brewer Eagles Club, the Sangerville Grange, the local VFW, and the local American Legion Post.

He is survived by his daughter Jamie Rennebu and her husband, Jayson, of Clifton; his grandson, Dakota; his granddaughter, Trinity; the mother of his daughter, Phyllis Carle; and close family friends, Ralph Storer, Marge Magnus, and Howard Stahl. James will be sorely missed by his pets, Gizmo, Ziva, Ching-Ching, and Missy.

A graveside memorial service with military honors will be conducted at the family lot in the Jackman Corner Cemetery, Sangerville, with Pastor Phil McGlauflin officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the family may be made to Jamie Rennebu, 126 Scott Point Road, Clifton, ME 04428. Arrangements are in the care of the Lary Funeral Home, Guilford. (Bangor Daily News 5/14/2016)
