The son of John Baker Sr. and Susanna Martin.
He married Hannah Polly in Woburn on October 18, 1682.

John Jr. was one of the proprietors of Barrington in 1719-20, when he appears in a list of proprietors. He was a soldier in King Phillip's War as shown by a deed from his son, John, to his oldest son, William, on 13 Oct 1745.
