Brad was born in Columbus July 17, 1975, the son of the late Phillip Smith Jr. and Betty Shirley Smith. He married Amanda Smith December 29, 2009, in Columbus, and she survives.
He was a diesel mechanic working for Horizon Freight Lines. He could fix anything and especially loved working on his 1963 Chevy Nova and his Harley-Davidson bike.
Survivors include his wife, Amanda J. Smith of Columbus; a daughter, Makenna Ivy Smith, at home; his mother, Betty Smith of Columbus; brothers, Rex Smith of Cincinnati, Ohio, Robert C. Smith of Columbus and Allen Lee Roll of Columbus; and his mother- and father-in-law, Norman T. and Tammy Smith of Columbus.
He was preceded in death by his father and a brother, Larry Smith.
Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at Myers-Reed Chapel on 25th Street with Marcus Speer officiating. Calling will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday and from 12:30 p.m. until service time Sunday. Burial will be at Shiloh Separate Baptist Church Cemetery west of Columbus.
