Malissa and John Henry were married in Greenville County on Nov. 23,. 1820. They were members of Brushy Creek Baptist Church in the 1830's. They moved to the Salem area of Pickens District (now Oconee County) between 1845 and 1850 and raised a large family there.
Although no marker can be found for her in the Ross Cemetery, it would seem logical that her children buried her beside her husband of some 60 years.
