A native of Greenville County, son of the late Clyde P. and Nannie Mae Turner Holcombe, he was a former employee of Akers Motor Lines, a U.S. Army Air Corps WWII Veteran, he received a AAF Tech Badge with Radio Operator Bar service medal, service stripe, 2 overseas service bars, Good Conduct Metal Sq Order and World War II Victory Campaign Medal and a member of Hampton Heights Baptist Church.
Surviving are one brother, Weldon Ray Holcombe of Palm Springs, California and one niece Charlotte Sanders of Camden.
Mr. Holcombe was predeceased by one brother, Robert Earl Holcombe.
Graveside services will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
