Jerry L. Guinn, 67, of Bixby, OK, passed away at home 10/17/2006 from complications of diabetes. Born 1/20/ 1939 in Paden, OK to Paul and Hazel Guinn. The family moved to Borger, TX where upon high school graduation he entered the Marine Corps. He married his high school sweetheart Sandra (Sandy) Maggart on 9/14/1958. After working as an electrician, he chose a career in law enforcement, serving 20 years on the Oklahoma City Police Dept. Most of his years in law enforcement were served in the detective division as investigator in homicide, robbery, drug and vice details before returning as Lieutenant Shift Commander of the Patrol Division. Survived by his wife, Sandy, of the home; son, Jay Guinn & wife, Sherri of Oklahoma City; daughter, Ginger Graham & husband, Dennis of Broken Arrow; brother, Gene Guinn & wife, Leta of Alva; sisters, Freda Carter of Oklahoma City; Karen May of Stinnett, TX, Linda Smith & husband, Richard of Borger, TX, Paula Killingsworth of Borger, TX; grandchildren, Angela Burnett & husband, Ryan of Broken Arrow, Tiffany Graham of Broken Arrow, Lee Allen & Mariah Guinn of Oklahoma City. Preceded in death by his parents & brother, Joe Wayne. Services Friday, 10/20/06, 1:00 p.m. at RiverCrest Chapel 13329 S. Memorial, Bixby. Burial at Bixby Cemetery.
