Harold James Clifton went with the Lord and Savior on May 7, 2016 after a long battle with cancer. He was surrounded by his loving wife of 60 years and family. He was born on July 14, 1936 in Florence Colorado to Van and Dorothy Clifton. They later moved to Grandview where he met and married his childhood sweetheart, Carolyn Clark. His last job was a pipefitter at Hanford from 1975 until his retirement in 2001. Prosser, Washington is where he and his wife raised their five children. In addition to his wife, Carolyn, he is survived by a large family. His eldest daughter, Sherry Durrani and Parvez, his eldest son, Jerry Clifton and wife, Robin, his daughter, Carol Woodall and Greg, his son, Darryl Clifton and Romy, and his daughter, Teresa Stallcop and husband, Vern. He is also survived by 25 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, and was known as Uncle Butch by numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy, his father, Van, all 5 of his siblings and 3 nieces.

Harold was a wonderful man of God who loved to share Jesus with anyone who would listen. He wasn’t a man of material wealth, but the inheritance that he left his family, is one you cannot buy and that would be Jesus! Harold will be missed by all who knew him.

Our family would like to thank the many caregivers and Hospice for the excellent care.

Viewing was held at Prosser Funeral Home in Prosser. A Funeral Service was held also at Prosser Funeral Home. Concluding services and burial will follow at the Prosser Cemetery.
