A number of homes were damaged and destroyed off East CR 1680 and Indian Meridian.
Deputies said 76-year-old Chester Barnes was killed during the storm.
He was the neighbor of Lisa Buckner who had just gotten home when it hit.
"I was scared. It was just kind of like indescribable," Lisa said.
Barley making it in her cellar, she bunkered down.
"Started praying, and I could just hear all, sounded just like a train," Lisa recalled.
When she came out, her home was in pieces.
"I think I kind of went into shock a little bit. I just started crying and couldn't believe what I saw," Lisa said.
Her family is especially heartbroken after leaning their neighbor was killed.
"He was a good man, a real good man," said Dave Buckner, Lisa's husband.
They are holding on to each other as they pick up what is left of their home.
"I'm just going to pick up and go. Just thank God. My granddaughter's okay, and my family is here to help and just going to do it," Lisa said.
Lisa also credits having a storm cellar for saving her life.
Deputies said no other residents were hurt.
However, livestock were killed and injured.
