Mrs. Kelly was born Blue Jay, WV on April 7, 1937 She was a resident of Stanaford for 58 years, and a member of Stanaford Missionary Baptist Church, where she served as a church clerk, and vacation bible school director. She also went to Camp Cowan where she served as a camp counselor.
Mrs. Kelly loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was well known for her beautiful flowers, and she always made certain that no one ever left her house or her camp hungry. She always greeted everyone with open arms and heart.
She would welcome anyone into her house no questions asked. However do not try to pull nothing, because she was more street wise then any of us. She would take a joke with a smile and return with one as quick as you finished. She has also been known to turn Vegans into good roast beef eaters. You did not leave
hungry. Mrs. Kelly was preceded in death by;
Parents - Adolphus Alexander and Dovie Gouge Smith

Those survivors left to cherish her memory include: Husband of 60 years. Children: a son and his Wife. Two daughters and husbands. Grand-children,Great Grandchildren, two Sisters, Sisters- in-laws and Brother-in-law Many nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Stanaford Missionary Baptist Church on Tuesday May 10, 2016. Burial will follow at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens at Prosperity, WV.
