                 PAUL JUDSON SMITH

Paul Judson Smith, 60, of Beckley, died Sunday, March 3, 1991, in VA Medical Center, Richmond, Va., after a short illness. He was manager of Captain D's, Beckley, and a former manager of Long John Silvers, Beckley Pancake House and G.C. Murphy Restaurant. He was an Air Force veteran of the Korean and Vietnam wars with 24 years' service. He was a member and Sunday school teacher at Mabscott Christian Church.

Surviving: wife, Shirley A. McMillion Smith; sons, Paul J. Jr of Charlottesville, Va., Christopher C. stationed at Fort Bragg, N. C.; daughters, Cherie M. Henry of Kansas City, Kan., Shirley Sabrina Blue of Springfield, Pa.; brothers, Robert A. of St. Albans, Thomas W of Hopewell, Val, Franklin D. of Union, Clarence J. of Spokane, Wash. ; sisters, Mary Wriston of Rainelle, Rebecca Stoneburner of Leivasy, Iris Hatcher of Kingsport, Tenn., Julie Kelly of Stanaford, Azenith Dannan of Alexandria, Va.; two grandchildren.

Service will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Rose-Quesenberry Funeral Home, Beckley, with the Rev. Harmon Davis and Chaplain Ted Edwards officiating. Burial will be in Calfee Cemetery, Mount Tabor.

Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home. The family suggests donations to DAV, VA Regional Office, 640 Fourth Ave., Huntington, WV 25701.
