She was born in Anderson County on October 17, 1922, to Oscar and Mable Wilkie Broughton. Rubye graduated from Palestine High School in 1940. She was a sales clerk and a member of First Presbyterian Church in Palestine.
Mrs. Trigg is survived by her husband, Hayden Trigg of Palestine; daughters, Sharon Bragg of Tyler and Becky Craft of Palestine; son, Randy Trigg of Palestine; brothers, Oscar Broughton Jr. of Houston and Ted Broughton of Palestine; and several grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Jerry Brown, John Morris, Jim Crook, Jim Thornell, Donald Bethrum and Billy Crutcher.
Condolence calls will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
