She was a daughter of William and Bessie Woodard Thompson. She attended school in Sackets Harbor and also in Three Mile Bay. She married Glenn M. West in 1969 in LaFargeville. He died on 1/1/2010. She worked on the assembly line at Bomax in Watertown, but enjoyed being a homemaker taking care of her family. She was survived by three sons: Scott, Brad, Shawn (Cindy); several grandchildren. She was the last of several siblings which include; Gerald Thompson, Robert Thompson, Garth Thompson, Cecil Thompson, Merton Thompson, Wilma Strickland, Thelma Mayne, Marjorie Mellon, Linda Thompson and Betty Munk.
