Ruth loved her community and served Salado for over 43 years. She spent countless hours volunteering at First Baptist Church Salado. Ruth was an endless caregiver for people in need and spent many days preparing meals, volunteering, and encouraging those that surrounded her.
She is survived by her husband Bill; a son, Gary Bartlett, and wife Jane, two daughters, Sue Ellen Slagel, and husband Joe Vaughn, Melanie Kirchmeier, and husband Bob Roemer, all of Salado, two brothers, Preston Reichert of Temple, Jimmy Reichert of Salado, two sisters, Danna Wood of Colorado and Virginia Wallace of Temple, seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, and a multitude of extended family and close friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents and sister Helen Brady.
