June was an excellent cook. She was famous for her pies and macaroni & cheese. Always dressed immaculately, June loved dancing, parties and other social events that would bring her close to people. June loved to be with people, especially her family. Her greatest treasure was her family. June was a member of the First Baptist Church of Forney for many years; as well as Grace Temple Baptist Church in Terrell.
June is preceded in death by her parents, H. A. and Willie Cawthon; her son, Billy Charles Youngman; and her husbands, W. A. Youngman and Milam Herriage. She is also preceded in death by her four brothers, A. J. Cawthon, M. W. Cawthon, H. R. Cawthon and Claud Cawthon; her sister Lola Percival; and two children, Gillis Herriage and Lee Mayfield.
Those left to celebrate her life include her sister, Jean Adams of Athens, Texas; three children, Gilbert Herriage of Runaway Bay, Texas, Nelda Jacobs of Rockwall, Texas and Peggy Bradshaw of Quinlan, Texas; Sixteen grandchildren and one granddaughter that was very near and dear to her heart, Mindy LeCroy; forty-two great-grandchildren; and numerous great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends who will greatly miss her.
An evening of remembrance will be held on Wednesday, January 12, 2011 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Anderson-Clayton Brothers Funeral Home in Terrell, Texas. A funeral service is scheduled for the following day, Thursday, January 13, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. also at the funeral home. Interment will be at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Forney. Reverend Jerry Griffin will be officiating.
