Gina M. Whitehead, of Conroe, Texas passed away Wednesday May 4, 2016 at the age of 53. She was born in Shreveport, Louisiana on June 26, 1962. She had a passion for photography, the outdoors and travel. She also enjoyed spending time with and spoiling her “grandpeeps.”
She met the love of her life Robert O. Whitehead in September of 1981 while making fishing poles in Columbia, South Carolina. They were married March 26, 1982 and were blessed with an amazing 34 years together.
Along with her husband Robert O. Whitehead, she is survived by their son John J. Whitehead and wife Victoria, Daughters Lena M. Harris and husband Edward, Kimberley A. Sanders and husband Chester, and Jillian Whitehead. She is also survived by 7 granddaughters, 3 grandsons, 2 great grandsons, 1 sister, 2 brothers, extended family and numerous friends. She is preceded in death by her parents and 2 sisters.
Visitation will be held at Cage-Mills Funeral Home on 4901 Everhart Road Corpus Christi, TX 78411 on Tuesday, May 10, 2016. Private viewing for immediate family 3:00pm-5:00pm. Public viewing 5:00pm-9:00pm.
Graveside Service will be held at Houston National Cemetery on 10410 Veterans Memorial Drive Houston, TX 77038 on Thursday, May 12, 2016 at 1:45pm
