May 25, 1931 - May 3, 2016\lenna Green, 84, of Sioux City passed away May 3, 2016, at Westwood Specialty Care.

Services will be 10 a.m. Monday at Glendale Baptist Church, with the Rev. Jim Wilson officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.


Glenna was born May 25, 1931, in Portsmouth, Ohio, to Millard and Edna (Call) Perry. She graduated from Central High School in 1948. She married Delmont "Monty" Green on Dec. 23, 1949, at Glendale Baptist Church. She worked for the Sioux City Community Schools for 30 years. Her favorite assignment was calling substitute teachers.

Glenna was a 70-year member of Glendale Baptist Church serving in many capacities including church secretary and historian. She was also a member of Silver-Azure Chapter, Order of Eastern Star. She was a sports enthusiast, rarely missing a grandchild’s sporting events and playing games with family and friends. She loved to travel and camp, ready to go at a moment’s notice. She enjoyed her daily walks along the riverfront keeping family apprised of all wildlife and happenings she observed. She was a Sioux City Police volunteer as a Trailblazer.
Survivors include daughters, Diana (Jeff) Fulton and Dawn (Harv) Bomgaars; a son, Curtis (Maureen) Green; nine grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; sisters, Delores McCuddin and Collene Blakely; a brother, Victor Finch; and a sister-in-law, Gay Gray.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a sister, Nancy Crowther; and a brother, Perry Perry.
