Gloria Mae Bronk (Carpenter) Age 79 of Minnesota City, MN died Tuesday, May 3 at her home surrounded by her family.
Gloria was born in Spring Grove, MN on May 18, 1936 to Harlan and Myrtle (Ramlo) Carpenter. She was the 3rd out of 4 children. The family moved to Winona when she was a small child and Gloria attended Winona Schools and graduated from WSHS in 1954.
She married her husband Joseph on February 11, 1955 at St. Stans Church in Winona. Later they had three sons.
Gloria worked at the coffee shop in the Winona Hotel as a waitress and then managed the Hallmark Card Shop in Winona for 20 year. Following that she worked at Herff Jones in Lewiston for 17 years.
She is survived by her husband, Joseph, of 61 years; sons, Steve (Cindy) Bronk of Goodview, MN, David (Marilyn) Bronk of Stockton, MN; Grandchildren, Derrick (Kristy) Bronk of Holmen, WI, Trevor (Serena) Bronk of Winona, MN, Dana (Luke) Stuckhausen of Rollingstone, MN, Krystal (Erik) Kanz of Goodview, MN, Kyle (Angela) Bronk of Goodview, MN; six great-grandchildren; brother, Alexes Carpenter of Fontana, California; and sister, Beverly Hanson of Rushford, MN.
She is preceded in death by her parents; son, Jeffrey; and sister, Diane Kouba.
Visitation will be from 3-7 PM Sunday, May 8th with a prayer service at 6:30 and fellowship to follow at Hoff Celebration of Life Center, Goodview. A graveside service will take place 11 AM Monday, May 9th at St. Mary's Cemetery, Winona.
