Thomas's father's name is a mystery. He died in Six Mile, Logan, Arkansas at age 35 of pneumonia in Feb of 1880. The writing is quite bad on death records for that year, and looks like it says Freman Adams. Which one tree has, with no hints or help from other trees, another person says name is Benet (should it be double "n"?), so his name is either Benet Freman or Freman Benet. Can not find he and wife before his death, with either of their names, his wife's name is Arminta Johnson. Their children are Thomas Jefferson, James D and Mattie. Mattie was born 2 months after her fathers death per 1880 census. Days after 1880 census Arminta married Joel Slaughter. Unable to locate them after that date, nor can either be found on FindAGrave. Note; I am unsure that Arminta is Thomas mother. She was born in Ark, he and his father were born in Texas, with other two children both born in Arkansas.

Thomas's history is more or less followed thru census records and a marriage record, if there where children who were born and died between census' they are unknown. Thomas had 3 known marriages.

September 9, 1891 he was united in marriage with Rosa L Garner in Sebastian County, Arkansas. They moved then to Oklahoma. To this union 2 known sons were born. They are:

James Daniel Adams 1893-1979
William Thomas Adams 1895-1988

United in marriage with Martha Golden on July 20, 1898, in Garland, Indian Territory, (Oklahoma).

1900 census in Choctaw Nation, Oklahoma he is married to Martha. They say they've been married for 2 years, which fits marriage record. So safe to say that Rosa died either at or shortly after Williams birth, since Thomas's 20 year old sister Mattie is living with them along with the boys, so either her mother passed or she came to live with him to help with children after Rosa's death. To this union there are 2 known children. They are:

John Henry Adams 1902-1970
Benjamin Royston Adams 1906-1989

1910 census in Sans Bois, Haskell County, Oklahoma he listed as Widower and has the 4 boys with him. Sister Mattie must of married or died, since she is not with them.

1920 census in Milton, Le Flore, Oklahoma he is married to Cordela “Corda” Goins, Guessing they married not long after 1910 census. His two sons from Martha are with them, along with 3 children born to them. They are:

Bertha Adams 1911-1970. Married name Rowlett
Lloyd Adams 1913-1980
Pearl Adell Adams 1916-1986. Married name Morris

1930 census they are in Quinton, Pittsburg, Oklahoma. Bertha is married not at home. Lloyd and Pearl are listed still at home, along with son born to them between census'. He is:

Jasper Eugene Adams 1924-2007

By 1935 Thomas and Corda were in rural Stanislaus County, California. Where they remained until their deaths.

NOTE ON THOMAS SIBLINGS: Mattie; some say she married in 1898 in AR, but don't know how that can be since she is living with Thomas in 1900 in Choctaw Nation Oklahoma and listed as single. On James; I thought I'd found James D, since 1900 census shows his name not far from Thomas, but many family trees have him being the son of someone else, so that ended that lead. Think he may of passed young, since Thomas named one of his sons after him.
