Robert E. Doherty, age 78, of Cohocton died Saturday, September 14, 2002.

Mr. Doherty was born August 21, 1924 in Rochester, NY the son of the late George D. & Beatrice Clara (Richardson) Doherty.

He was predeceased by his wife Marie Ward

He is survived by

Daughters: Pat Marcus, Sandra Noto & Margaret Ayers

Grand Children, Annie & Susie Marcus, Dina, Brian & Jimmy Noto, J.J., Jason & Jonathan Ayers

Sister: Mary Catherine (Bernard) Trompeter

Brother: George (Gertrude) Doherty

Bob was a retiree of the Rochester Fire Department after 33 years of service and a veteran of WWII serving with the 17th and 82nd Airborne Divisions. Bob was also a friend of Bill since 1968.

Calling hours will be Thursday from 7:00 - 8:30 PM at Miller Funeral Homes, Inc., 3325 Winton Road South, Rochester, NY. Bob's Funeral Mass will be held Friday at 10:00 AM in St. Joseph´s Church, 14 Washington Street, Livonia, NY. Interment will follow the mass in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Rochester.
