Entered into eternal rest on April 22, 2006, after a valiant 26 month battle with pancreatic cancer. She was born in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of the late Dr. Benjamin and Lala Gasul.
She is survived by her loving husband, Dr. Eric M. Dreyfuss; son, Peter (Sylvia) Dreyfuss of North Miami Beach, Florida; daughter, Lisa Dreyfuss; grandchildren, Ilana, Alexandra and Sarah Dreyfuss, all of North Miami Beach, Florida; sisters, Gloria Gottlieb of Chicago, Illinois and Judith (Albert III) Simon of Glencoe, Illinois.
Sandra was a graduate of the Chicago School of Latin and Northwestern University. She was a docent for many years at the Memorial Art Gallery and was a retired tax preparer at H & R Block.
Her Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, at 1:30 PM, in the Main Sanctuary of Temple B'rith Kodesh 2131 Elmwood Avenue. Sandra's Interment will be in the Mount Hope Cemetery. Following the Funeral, a Period of Mourning will be observed on Wednesday, from 7-9 PM and on Thursday, from 2-4 and 7-9 PM, at Edgemoor Road.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the James Wilmot Cancer Center University of Rochester 601 Elmwood Avenue Box 704 Rochester, New York 14642 or to the Memorial Art Gallery 500 University Avenue Rochester, New York 14607 in her memory.
