John Fletcher, 70, of Albuquerque passed away Monday April 15. He was born June 27, 1925 in Hanover to John J. and Emilia Fletcher. He is survived by his wife of 43 years Patricia; his daughter Susan Fletcher Johnson; two sons Terrence and his wife Debbie Fletcher and Stephen and his wife Eve Fletcher; four sisters Cecilia F. Ryan of Bayard, Margaret Renteria of San Diego, Fannie Leon of Silver City and Mary Arbar of Glenwood Springs, Colo.; and four grandchildren Stephanie and Lisa Johnson and Darius and Morgan Fletcher. He retired from the New Mexico State Department of Labor after 35 years of service. He was a volunteer at St. Joseph's West Mesa Hospital. The Store House in Rio Rancho and the Corrales Community Library. A memorial Mass was celebrated by the Rev. Lucian C. Hendren on Thursday April 18 at San Ysidro Catholic Church in Corrales. Contributions may be made to Prostate Cancer Research, American Cancer Society. Cremation was by Sunrise Society.
