Mr. Bill L. James Senior a resident of Montgomery, AL passed away July 22, 2014. He worked at Jackson Hospital for 46 years and retired as Chef Cook of the hospital. He created a business, James Cleaning Services and dutifully continued this work until his health began to fail him.
Funeral services will be heldJuly 26, 2014 at 9:00 AM from Maggie Street Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Ezekiel Pettway, Sr., officiating.
Interment will follow in Greenwood Serenity Gardens. The family will receive friends at the family hour held one hour prior to the funeral service.
He was preceded in death by his son, Eric James; sister, Margaret Fountain Wilson, and his son-in-law, John Alan Bivens. He leaves to cherish his memories his devoted wife of 64 years: Bessie Lee Felder James; two children, Carmelita James Bivens and Bill James Junior (Sharon); five grandchildren and two great grandchildren, Alan Bivens (Kimberly), Candace Bivens, Eric James, Bryan James, Sean James, Maxwell James Bivens and Jackson Alan Bivens; and a host of other family members and friends.
The family has requested in lieu of flowers that gifts be made to Maggie Street Missionary Baptist Church, 642 Maggie Street, Montgomery, AL 36106 in memory of Mr. Bill James Senior.
