Mr. Perry died Thursday in a Houston hospital.
He was born March 2, 1930 in Mertens, TX to William Perry and Pearlie Mae Cottongame Perry.
Mr. Perry was a member of the Westwood Baptist Church. He was self-employed as an appliance repairman.
Mr. Perry was preceded in death by his parents; son, Bruce Perry; sisters, Doris Ballew, Ines Williamson and Christine Farrel; and brothers, Billy and Roger Perry.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Fran Perry of Palestine; son, Steve Perry and wife Tracy of Lake Jackson; sister, Ruth Williams; brothers, C.D. Perry and Marion Perry; and three grandchildren, Jason, Dusty and Dakota Perry.
Pallbearers will be Ed Sandell, Robert Wilson, Richy Perry, Sheryll Buffalo, Brad Perry and David Perry. Honorary pallbearers will be Benny Loflin and Paul Frasier.
