Carl, known affectionately to his friends and family as "June Bryant" grew up in Eastland where he attended high school. His mother died when he was a child and he was reared by his grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Charlie M. Van Geem. He was well-loved by all who knew him. He and Clarice had a son, Charles Burton Bryant, and a daughter, Carla June Bryant. June and Clarice lived in Crane, Texas for many years and later in life, they lived in Palestine, Texas.
