She was born Monday, June 10, 1940, at Clarksburg, a daughter of Bernard Patrick Kiernan, who survives at Elkins and Mildred M. Nye, who preceded her in death.
On March 11, 1961, at Red House, Md., she was married to Raymond Keith "Abe" Simmons, who preceded her in death Feb. 26, 1999.
Surviving are three daughters, Rhonda Sue Dye and husband, Doug, of Jacksonville, Fla., Brenda Kaye Cooper of Winter Springs, Fla., and Diana Lynn "Deedle" Hannah and husband, Gary, of Beverly; two grandchildren, Thomas "Tad" Allen Dye and Kayelynn Sue Cooper.
She was a graduate of Victory High School of Clarksburg with the class of 1957.
She was a homemaker and an employee of Walmart for the past seven years.
The family will receive friends at Lohr & Barb Funeral Home of Parsons Thursday from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Final rites will be conducted at the funeral home parlor Friday at 11 a.m.
Pastor Allen Dale Crosten will officiate and interment will follow at Parsons City Cemetery at Parsons.
The Lohr & Barb Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements for Constance Kay "Connie" Kiernan Simmons.
