Melissa Lorene Parrish, age 86, passed away on Monday April 25th. She was born in DeKalb County, TN. And resided in Madison, TN. She was preceded in death by parents Felix Monroe and Martha Jane Trapp of DeKalb County as well as brothers and sisters Jennings Trapp, Toy Trapp, Roy Trapp, Otis Trapp, Walter Trapp, Ann Byrd and Lucille Walden.
She is survived by her husband of 68 years, George Douglas Parrish, son Douglas Glenn Parrish (Judy), daughter Sherrie Lynn Thomas (Drew), three grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be conducted at DeKalb Funeral Chapel in Smithville, TN with visitation from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm on Friday April 29, with services at 2:00 pm. Internment will be at DeKalb Memorial Gardens. DeKalb Funeral Chapel is in charge of the arrangements.
