In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brothers Nelson Shelton Jr., and Norman Shelton.
Survivors include his brothers Woodrow (Lela) Shelton, Bobby Shelton and Chester Shelton; sister Diana Shelton Lewis; sister-in-law Dora Shelton nieces Teresa Smith and Jamie Harris and a host of nephews, other relatives and friends who he loved dearly .
