Funeral services for Diana C. Lucas, 84, are set for 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. James Catholic Church with burial at Corinth National Cemetery. Visitation is today from 5 until 8 p.m. at McPeters Funeral Home.
Mrs. Lucas died Sunday, April 24, 2016, at Magnolia Regional Health Center after a lengthy illness.

Obituary
Funeral services for Diana Lucas, 84, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at St. James Catholic Church with interment to follow in the Corinth National Cemetery.
Mrs. Lucas died peacefully on April 24, 2016 at Magnolia Regional Hospital after a lengthy illness. She was born on January 16, 1932 in St. Louis, MO to the late William Harry Shade and Edna Eubank Shade. Mrs. Lucas was a longtime member of Tate Baptist Church and a member of the Order of Eastern Star. She was an avid gardener and enjoyed cooking and reading.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Lucas is preceded in death by her sister, Virginia Shade Helmbacher and a great-grandson Jaxon Tyler Thornton.
Survivors include her husband whom she married December 31, 1951, Louis Joseph Lucas of Corinth; her children, John Louis Lucas (Anna) of Lakeland, TN, Tommy Lucas (Kim) of Corinth and Michelle Lucas Thornton (Doug) of Hernando, MS; seven grandchildren, Robert Joseph Lucas (Sarah Beth) of Memphis, Paul Culpepper Lucas of Lakeland, TN, Jade Lucas Bennett (Jim) of Nashville, Thomas Witt Lucas (Linda) of Corinth, Nathaniel Douglas Thornton (Kaylee) of Pendleton, OR, Nicole Michelle Thornton of Hernando and Nicolas Lucas Thornton of Hernando. Mrs. Lucas also is survived by six great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, family and friends.
