Harry John Ahrenstorff, son of Hans and Emma Ahrenstorff, was born August 15, 1893, at Big Rock, Iowa, and passsed from this life August 4, 1953, at the age of 59 years, 11 months, 20 days.

He was married to Wilma Sampson January 16, 1923, and to this union, 3 sons were born, Lloyd, Gordon, and Gary. Gordon preceded his father in death January 30 of this year.

He is survived by his widow, Wilma, his sons, Lloyd of Melvin, and Gary of the US Army, two daughters-in-law, Beulah and Patricia, two grandsons, Randy and Ronnie, one sister, Mrs. George Albright of Hartley, three brothers, Ernest and Emil of Hartley and Walter of Butterfield, Minnesota, as well as several nieces and nephews.

He had resided in the vicinity of Hartley and Melvin since he was a year old. He was confirmed and baptized in the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church at an early age; and had been a member of the Methodist church for twenty years.

Funeral services were held on Friday, August 7, at the Melvin Methodist Church and interment was in Pleasant View cemetery at Hartley.
