Lucy G. Mott, age 89, formerly of 1301 Division St., Manitowoc, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday evening, May 10, 2005 at the Care Partner's Assisted Living Facility in Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday (TODAY), May 12, 2005 at the Melnik Presbyterian Church in Whitelaw, with the Rev. Chris Schwab officiating, with burial in the Mishicot Public Cemetery.
Mrs. Mott was born Nov. 18, 1915 in the town of Gibson, to the late James and Caroline Shedivy Urban and has been a lifelong area resident. She married Marvin Mott on April 7, 1932 in the Melnik Presbyterian Church and he preceded her in death on Jan. 6, 1993.
Lucy was a member of the Melnik Presbyterian Church in Whitelaw. She enjoyed crocheting, gardening, playing sheepshead, spending time with her family and making the family meal each and every Sunday.
Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law: Joan and Joseph Winkel of
Manitowoc, with whom she made her home; 14 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; 28 great-great-grandchildren; one brother: Arnold (Ruth) Urban of Green Bay; two sisters: Sylvia Hoyer of Brillion; and Martha Kudick of Luxemburg. She is further survived by her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Stanley and Shirley Mott of Two Rivers; Edith Mott of Manitowoc; Jack and Carol Gilbert of Mishicot; August and Eunice Stueck of Two Rivers; Ruth Mott of Manitowoc; and Phyllis Mott of Mishicot; and by many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Lucy was also preceded in death by one son and daughter-in-law: Gene and Bernadine (Rielly) Mott; one grandson; one great-granddaughter; one brother: Clarence; two sisters: Violet and Julia; and by her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.
Relatives and friends may call after 11 a.m. (TODAY) at the Melnik Presbyterian Church in Whitelaw, until the time of service at 1 p.m. A memorial fund has been established in her name. The Lambert-Eckert Funeral Home of Mishicot is assisting the Mott family with funeral arrangements.
