Thomas Blair Larsen, 84, joins his beloved Shirley on April 17, 2016. Loving father of Theresa (Mitchell) Rosen, Cheryl (Robert Murphy), Tom (Chris), Dan (Lisa), Melanie (Steve Schill) Larsen. Fond Brother of George Gross, Bernice Holt, Lauren Miller and the late Willamae Husted. Devoted grandfather of Brett, Kristy, Britney, Elaine and Olivia Larsen, Tommy and Danielle Schill, Nic Rosen and Alexis Gates.
Tom had a lifelong passion for photography, cameras, a great scotch, a good smoke and all things “Apple”. Together with his wife, Shirley, he raised 5 children, whom he delighted each year with the tallest Christmas tree set-ups in Mundelein and largest pumpkin carvings at Halloween. He was an active leader of Catholic Worldwide Marriage Encounter and teacher for the SPRED program. His family and friends remember him well for throwing himself into disco dancing, marathon running and taking part in his grandchildren’s activities. Tom’s handsome smile could light up a room and we will all miss him deeply.
Interment at Ivanhoe Cemetery.
