Born in East Liverpool, Ohio on Nov. 6, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Donald and Mattie (Southall) Humphreys.
Betty was a former nurse's aide at Fox Nursing Home and she was an avid fan of the music at the East Liverpool Wharf.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard McGurren; a sister, Ruth Daisson and two brothers, Bill and Dale Humphreys.
Surviving are three sons, William (Diane) Thorn of East Liverpool, Kenny (Mary) Thorn of Chester and Rick (Denise) Thorn of Chester; two daughters, Robin (Chris) Aikens of East Liverpool and Rachel Krosky of Columbiana; 11 grandchildren, Kandice, Marissa, Shaun, Jason, Kyle, Lexi, Chrissy, Joey, Dominic, Jennetta and Matthew; 12 great-grandchildren; a brother, Jack Humphreys of East Liverpool and many nieces and nephews.
Burial will follow in Shadow Lawn Memory Gardens, Newell, W.Va.
