EAST LIVERPOOL – Jack. W. Humphreys, born in East Liverpool on Aug. 10, 1929, passed away at Calcutta Health Care Center and went to be with his Lord and Savior at 12:03 a.m. Friday, March 9, 2018. He was 88.
A son of the late Donald D. and Mattie Southall Humphreys, Jack had spent his entire life in this area, most recently living on Ohio Avenue in East Liverpool. He had been the owner operator of the former Humphreys Greenhouse, and had been a packer at Homer Laughlin China for nearly 24 years, retiring in 1990. He was a member of the GPPAW Union.
Two daughters survive: Mary Springer, of East Liverpool, and Carrie Darnell and her husband, Frank, of Newell. There are six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Jack was preceded in death on Oct. 17, 1995 by a son, Jack W. Humphreys, Jr.
In addition, he was preceded by a sister, Ruth Davison, and by two brothers, Dale Humphreys and Donald Humphreys.
Burial will take place at Shadow Lawn Memory Garden.
