Jerry Wires Sr., 84, 520 NE Adams, Apt. 67, died Sunday at his home.
Born Nov. 11, 1894, in Edina, Mo., to John and Sarah Wires, he married Esther Kane. She died here in 1961.
He was employed at Caterpillar Tractor Co. 17 years.
Surviving are two sons, John Wires and William "Billy" Allen, both of Peoria; four daughters, Mrs. Florence Lilly, Mrs. Shirley Johnson, Mrs. Joan Davis, all of Peoria, and Mrs. Anna Mae Logan, Rock Island; and one sister, Mrs. Mary Pink, LaGrange, Mo.
One son, one daughter, two sisters and four brothers also preceded him in death.
Services will be at Simons Mortuary, the Rev. Lenill Thornton will officiate and burial will be in Springdale Cemetery.
