Roger Andrews Riddle was born July 28, 1917 in Long Beach, California to Lee and Linda Riddle. He graduated from Long Beach City College in 1937 and came to Oklahoma that year to appear on Radio WKY for Cains Coffee Co. While there he became engaged to Miss Bette Morris and they were married in 1940. He worked for Douglas Aircraft Co. until 1944 when he entered the U.S.A.A.F. After W.W. II, he entered oilfield sales and worked for several companies in California and Oklahoma. In 1950, he returned to Oklahoma and established the R.A. Riddle Ceramic Tile and Marble Co. After 10 years of this, he returned to heavy equipment sales, retiring in 1982. His hobbies included music, photography, and travel. He was past president of the Oklahoma Camera Club and of the Crusaders class of Capitol Hill U. M. church where he was an active member since 1950. He survives his first wife, Bette who passed away in March, 1997. He is survived by his second wife, Esther E. Riddle; his son, Lonny of Chapala, Mexico; his granddaughters, Stephanie Greeson and Samantha Luck of Mustang and three great grandchildren. He leaves behind photographs, audio tapes and many memories of travels in Europe, Mexico, Scandinavia, Canada, Hawaii, and Alaska. He truly loved God, his family, his church, Sunday school, and living in Oklahoma. Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M., Friday, Oct. 13, 2006 in the Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel with interment following in Resthaven Memory Gardens.
