Mary Lou Lansberry Morrison, 79, lost a long, courageous battle to regain her health on Oct. 7, 2006, at Four Corners Good Samaritan in Aztec. She was born Feb. 15, 1927, in Marvel, Colo.

Mary Lou loved her home, the outdoors, her horses, her computer, painting/sketching, reading, traveling and spending time with family and friends. She and Johnny, her husband of 60 years, farmed in Center Point for many years, and there wasn't much she couldn't do, both inside or outside the home. She particularly enjoyed Arabian Horse competitions in her younger years, and is survived by her beloved horse, Samara.

Mary Lou is also survived by her daughter, Alene VanDegrift and husband, George; son, Fred Morrison; son-in-law, Mark Andrae; granddaughter, Christy Fasulo and husband, Anthony; grandson, Jeff Andrae; sister, Freddy Peterson; three great-grandchildren, Francesca, Adam and Amanda Fasulo; sisters-in-law, Pearleen Morrison, Deanna Blythe and Marilyn Hardison and husband, John; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Mary Lou was preceded in death by her husband, John; daughter, Carolyn Andrae; grandson, Jake Andrae; father, Bert Lansberry; sisters, Alberta Finch and Elsie Davis; and brother, Calvin Lansberry.

Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 13, at Aztec Presbyterian Church, 205 N. Church Ave., with the Rev. Dwain DePew officiating. Mary Lou's final resting place will be Cedar Hill Cemetery, where she will join her husband, daughter and grandson. A reception for family and friends will follow immediately after the service.

Pallbearers are Larry Blythe, Lorren Blythe, George VanDegrift, Anthony Fasulo, Benjamin Blythe and Adam Fasulo.

Honorary pallbearers are Buster Dial, Buster Jaquez, Jim Cheverie, Don Polich, Bob Quebman and John Hardison.

The family would like to extend sincere appreciation to the staff at Good Samaritan and to Dr. Harold McFarling for their diligent care and support during Mary Lou's illness.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Four Corners Good Samaritan, 500 Care Lane, Aztec, NM 87410, or Connelly Hospitality House, 710 S. Lake St., Farmington, NM 87401.
