St. Matthews - Mrs. Agnes Austin Millender, 83, widow of J. J. Millender, died Monday. Born in Cameron, she was a daughter of the late Martin D. and Fannie Jones Austin. She was a member of Gethsemane Baptist Church. Surviving are sons, Martin L. Hair of Winnsboro and Murray R. Hammond of St. Matthews; sisters, Mrs Coty (Lucile) Long of Cameron and Mrs. Edgar (Jessie) Bozard of St. Matthews; half sisters, Mrs. Needham (Semmie) Bass of Virginia, Mrs. Alton (Irene) Wertz of Orangeburg, Mrs. George (Lena) Rollins and Mrs. Minnie L. Shuler of Elloree, Mrs. Harvey (Fannie) Hammond of Columbia and Mrs Orrie (Myrtle) Myers of Bowman; grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Gethsemane Baptist Church.
