Eldred O. "Buzz" Gardner, age 86, died April 21, 1993 at his home in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Born August 14, 1906 in West Jordan, Utah to Wallace and Nellie Eggleston Gardner. Married Florence Sperry September 21, 1926. She died August 30, 1960. Married Wanda Unck Peterson on January 13, 1961.
Worked on the Manhattan Project in Oak Ridge, Tennessee during World War II and at the Tooele Ordnance Depot. He also sold real estate, worked at Regional Sign Supply and U-Haul in California. A loving father and grandfather, he was affectionately known as "Pop".
Survivors include his wife, Wanda; sons and daughters, Margaret Ramey (George), George R. Gardner (Ruth), Bonnie Howard (Ron), Paul Gardner (Sandra), Wanda Claire Allred (Miles), Lloyd Peterson (Marjorie), Marylyn Pullan (Bob), and Don Peterson; 31 grandchildren, 57 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Wanda.
Graveside services on Saturday, April 24th, at 1 pm, Mt. Olivet Cemetery, 1340 East 500 South. Friends may call at the Larkin Mortuary, 260 East South Temple, Saturday, 11:30 am - 12:30 pm.
