He was my 3rd Great Grandfather.

His parents were George C. Branch and Elizabeth "Betsy" McCrackin.

He served in the Civil War as a Pvt. in CSA 24th Regiment at Aberdeen, Monroe County, Mississippi. His brother, Thomas Benjamin Branch, also served.

Besides that I really do not know much about him. I believe he died in Hot Spring County, Arkansas ca 1881-1900.
