Mrs. Lazzell was born June 20, 1940, in Perry County, Kentucky, to Ira R. and Sally West Asher.
She was a graduate of Columbus High School. She was a computer programmer at Quality Mill retiring in 1994 after nearly 20 years of service. She was a member of the Columbus Chapter Order of Eastern Star and International Foundation of Doll Makers and she was a former Girl Scout leader in Indiana, Alaska and Washington state.
She made beautiful porcelain dolls and she was an avid reader.
Survivors include her daughters, Laura (Michael) Lazzell-Pannell and Charrie (Michael) Malan both of Columbus; grandchildren, Christine, Kendra and Ross; great-grandchildren, Eli, Ruby, Jordan, David and Gavan; a sister, Peggy Jane (Gary) Crabtree of Windfield, Tennessee; a brother, Ira (Alisha) Asher of Mesa, Arizona; and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Lazzell was preceded in death by her parents and a grandson, Reece Malan.
