Mrs. Emily Carnley, age 51, of Laurel Hill Route 2, died at her home Tuesday. She was a native of Walton County, Florida, living in the Babe Gordon and Childrens Home communities all her life, and was a member of the congregational church.

Survivors include Her mother, Sarah Elizabeth (Betty) Lassiter Busbee Presley and stepfather, William James Presley, one sister, Mrs. Ella Busbee Mason Summerlin of Campton, Florida; one brother, Franklin Walker Busby, Laurel Hill, Route 3, and four half brothers: Hubbard Presley, Laurel Hill, Rt. 2, Corbin Presley, Crestview, Lee Presley, Laurel Hill, Rt. 4, Obie Presley, Laurel Hill, Rt 3; three daughters, Sara, Kate, and Cora, all of Laurel Hill, Rt. 2; five sons, Will, Ramond, Henry, Frank, and Walter, all of Laurel Hill, Route 2; and nine grandchildren.

Funeral: 3:00pm, August 19, 1936, at Clear Springs Baptist Church, rev. W. A. Thomas of Bethel officiating.

Burial: in the cemetery by Shepherd Funeral Home.
