Laurie Jean Carter, 58, of Columbia passed away Saturday, April 16, 2016, at her home, surrounded by her family.

Laurie was born April 20, 1957, in Richmond Heights, the daughter of Ernest and Shirley Vest Carter, and they survive.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, April 22, at Nilson Funeral Home. Visitation will be from noon until service. Burial with full military honors will take place at Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Jacksonville.
