Glenda "Gail" Harper, age 76 of Carrollton, Georgia, passed away on Saturday evening, October 27, 2018. She was born June 29, 1942 in Carroll County, Georgia, the daughter of the late J. Oscar Patterson and the late Maude Sullivan Patterson. Gail was a 1960 Graduate of Villa Rica High School and a longtime member of Shady Grove Baptist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Denver Harper; and brothers and sisters-in-law: Garvis & Bertha Patterson, Bud Patterson, and Jack & Penny Patterson; sisters and brothers-in-law: Wilma & James Sledge, Ruth & Warner White, Jean & Jack Davis, Lorene & Arnell Carroll, Maryann & Herman Denney and Kathryn & Fred Leuke. She is survived by two daughters- and sons-in-law: Kim & Steve Hughes and Kelly & Bill Collins, all of Carrollton; grandchildren: Jake Hughes, Kyle Hughes, Jordan Hughes, and Kaci & Kevin Paden; great grandchildren: Conrad Paden and Ray Hughes; sister and brother-in-law, Mildred & Lacy Dale; sister-in-law, Martha Patterson; a host of nieces and nephews, whom she loved dearly; and her loving caregivers for whom we are thankful. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at 1:00 PM from Martin & Hightower Heritage Chapel with the eulogy presented by her niece, Lisa Loftin. The honorary pallbearers will be Tommy Carroll and Larry White. Interment will follow in Shady Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with nephew, Jimmy Sledge delivering the prayer. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 11:00 AM until the hour of service.
