Funeral services will be held Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at a 1:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial in St. Peter Roman Catholic Church in Carencro for Heloise "Billie" Latour Lajaunie, age 95, who passed away Sunday, April 17, 2016 at her residence in Carencro.

Interment will be in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens in Lafayette. Giftbearers will be Dawn McWhirter, Yevette Brasseaux, Cassie Bidstrup, Jessica Broussard and Paula Broussard.

"Billie" as she preferred to be called was a member of the St. Anne Society, Sacred Heart Society, Bonne Mort Society, an Usher and sold Religious Articles for over forty-five years. She was a terrific seamstress and cook and she loved to play Pokeno & Bouree with family and friends. Wednesday's were reserved for her bingo games with the "Cankton Swingers". She travelled with her bingo group, sisters and friends over the years to many different states including a trip to Greece. She was an outstanding mother, wife, sister, grandmother and great grandmother who will be missed by all.

Survivors include one daughter, Sheila Broussard and her husband, Billy; two sons, Daryll Lajaunie and his wife, Kathy, of Carencro and John E. Lajaunie and his wife, Romona, of Scott; six grandchildren, Shane Broussard and his wife, Jessica, Dawn McWhiter and her husband, Derek, Yevette' Brasseaux and her husband, Wayne, Daryll Lajaunie, Jr. and his wife, Tiffany, Josh Lajaunie and his companion, Cristi, and Cassie Bidstrup and her husband, Brent; her great grandchildren who always brought a smile to her face, Haydon Urban, Kenzie Urban, Camdon McWhirter, Ethan Broussard, Bronson Broussard, Dillon Lajaunie, Kade Bidstrup, Konnor Bidstrup, Karlie Bidstrup, Angelle Lajaunie and Braxton Lajaunie; one brother, Sidney Latour of Carencro; one sister, Anna Belle Broussard of Lafayette; and one sister-in-law, Gene Lajaunie.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leroy A. Lajaunie; her parents, John and Elita Latour; five brother, Shirley, LeRoy, John L., Julio and Fred Latour; three sisters, Rose Trahan, Feliciana Sonnier and Irene Patin; and her beloved sister-in-law, Nola Clavelle.

A rosary will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday in the funeral home.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Tuesday and will continue from 9:00 a.m. until service time on Wednesday.

Pallbearers will be Shane Broussard, Daryll Lajaunie, Jr., Josh Lajaunie, Wayne Brasseaux, Derek McWhirter and Brent Bidstrup. Honorary pallbearers will be Haydon Urban and Ethan Broussard.
