Gary Don Pollock was born to Donald and ElJuana (Reed) Pollock on July 7, 1965 in Norman, OK. He departed this life on April 9, 2016 at his home in Noble surrounded by his family.



As a child, Gary played T-Ball. He enjoyed building ramps to jump with his bicycle and later motorcycles. He loved going to Little Sahara Desert with his friends to ride three wheelers and camping out. During High School, Gary was active in Shop building two cedar chests, one for his sister Vicki and the other for his bride, Debbie.



Gary graduated from Noble High School in 1983. He went on to study Architecture at the University of Oklahoma. Gary married Deborah Coates on August 2, 1986 and to this union a daughter, Malerie was born in June of 2007.



Gary was preceded in death by his father Don Pollock in May of 2015 and father-in-law Leroy Coates. He is survived by his mother, ElJuana Pollock of Noble, wife Deborah of the home, daughter Malerie of the home, (3) sisters; Vicki Pollock of Noble, Debra Manning of Norman, Rita Hughes of Oklahoma City, mother-in-law; Myrtle Coates of Noble, sister-in-law; Janna Coates of Noble, (2) uncles; Bobby Pollock of Duncan, Frank Mize of Oklahoma City, (4) aunts; Melba Franks of Duncan, Judy Young of Riverside, CA, Laveda Hensley of Noble and Vivian Lairson of Noble, several cousins and other relatives and friends.



Gary was a big OU and Thunder fan. He enjoyed many hours in his shop “Piddling” as his dad did. Gary loved the outdoors, fishing and camping. Gary joined the Slaughterville Volunteer Fire Department at the age of 14. He was a retired Norman Firefighter and a friend in time of need. He worked in the oilfield as a pumper and in a number of different positions, the most recent position was with Silver Creek Oilfield Services as a Production Foreman.



Gary was bigger than life, had a heart of gold, and had a smile that would light up a room. His love for his family was his greatest attribute and he will be missed by all who knew him.
