CLOVER – Joe Thomas Scoggins, 64, died Sunday, June 22, 2003, at his residence.
A native of Shelby, N.C., he was the husband of Joy Ann Peterson Scoggins and son of the late Ernest Hannon Scoggins and the late Emaline Grooms Scoggins. He was a carpenter in the construction business and was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving in addition to his wife are a daughter, Lisa Scoggins Ward of Kings Mountain, N.C.; a son, Eric Vincent Scoggins of Clover; three grandchildren; four brothers, Johnny Scoggins, Jimmy Scoggins, both of York, Ronnie Scoggins of Sharon and Buck Scoggins of Blacksburg; and a sister, Pat Childers of Kings Mountain.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Scoggins was preceded in death by two brothers, Dean Scoggins and Junior Scoggins, and a sister, Sarah Bolin.


CLOVER – Graveside services for Joe Thomas Scoggins, 74, will be at Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery.
